With the third major tournament of the 2023 golf season in full swing, controversy has raged behind the scenes for the second year in a row. The USGA is trying to keep the sails of its premier event out of the wind as the 2023 U.S. Open qualifiers face the Los Angeles Country Club for the first time in 75 years since the first round on Thursday.
This year, nearly all the best golfers from around the world gathered at the packed course. Scotty Schaeffler, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka have achieved commercial success midway through the main calendar, while Victor Hovland and Rory McIlroy are among the highest level despite yet to lift a major trophy. continues to play golf.
