Powell, Jackson score season highs as Clippers defeat Utah Jazz

Kawhi Leonard with LOS ANGELES still working to sidenline Paul George. To take the slack, the Los Angeles Clippers require the roster.

Reggie Jackson and Norman Powell did their part on Monday night, scoring with high points.

Powell scored 30 goals after coming off the bench. Also, Reggie scored 27 other goals to win against the Utah Jazz.

Tyronn Lue said directly after the Los Angeles Clippers won in the third stage of the game: ''I give the team credit. No matter who's on the floor, we always feel like we have a chance to win''.

He said also: ''I thought at the end of the game, Norman and Reggie really brought this home offensively.''

While George was out due to a strained right hamstring sustained during Saturday's victory over San Antonio, Leonard, who missed much of last season due to a knee injury, scored 8 points and 5 assists in Twenty three minutes.

Late in the third quarter, the Utah Jazz led 93-86 until the Clippers took control with a 20-8 run during a six-minute period.

Jackson added 8 points to Powell's nine in the final minutes of the game. Six Jazz turnovers were caused by the Clippers, who also limited the Utah Jazz to 7 of 20 from the field.

Jackson said: ''We didn't panic. I think our coaches called some timeouts in the right spots and let us figure things out as a group, go out there and compete''.
